Kolypan and the Theater Spektakel – a long-standing, proven partnership. So it is no wonder that this successful Zurich children’s theatre company, adored for its hilarious, down-to-earth shows, will celebrate its 20th anniversary on the Landiwiese this year.

«KOLYPANOPTiKUM 2050», the title of this anniversary show, will be premiered open-air in a small fairground, complete with a caravan, a stage, a sandpit and an impressive walk-in tower. Whoever steps into this playground will travel into the distant future. In the year 2050, the audience will meet Fabienne Hadorn and Gustavo Nanez, the heart and soul of Kolypan from its very beginning. Having become somewhat forgetful and melancholic but still energetic and full of beans, they review the past 50 years of their theatrical works and world affairs.

Hadorn and Nanez zap through their greatest hits: «Die Vladimir Show» (2001), «Heidi» (2004) and «Miis! – Weltpolitik im Sandkasten» (2013). They hint where the world is going in the next thirty years and what we can faintly hope for. They will also take a decision as to who their successors will be. Who shall take over the Kolypan business? One thing is clear: The contenders must have nerves of steel! (kdi)
