What to Expect at this Year's Theater Spektakel

01.07.2021 – When the Zürcher Theater Spektakel opens in August 2021, nine months will have passed since the beginning of planning and the start of the festival. During this time of pandemic-induced uncertainties, each piece of the puzzle has changed its form at least four times. The forecasts for this summer are good, yet we remain cautious. This is why the festival will again look different than in previous years. This applies for the festival site, admission and gastronomy. We will update this site on a regular basis in order to provide our visitors with the necessary information. 

Festival site Landiwiese The festival will again be characterised almost exclusively by theatre, dance, performance, installations and other art forms. The Landiwiese will again look slightly different – not to say emptier – than in previous years.

Admission control The access to the festival site is generally open. Admission control will only take place at the entry to each venue. All performances and events will take place in a controlled setting – including street art, for which we will set up the Bühne am Ufer. Up-to-date information on the safety concept and on the use of covid certificates will be provided on this site once the presale has started. Please arrive in time (no later than 30 minutes before the start of the performance) and remain patient, should there be delays in admission to the venue.

Gastronomy The gastronomic offer will be strongly reduced. More Information will be provided as soon as possible.
